Report: Bubzkji to enter free agency, become analyst on Danish television

According to multiple sources, Astralis player Lucas “Bubzkji” Andersen is close to signing a deal to be released from his contract with Astralis to become a free agent.

Jaxon learned that the rifler is negotiating with Danish television channel TV2 to become an analyst on CS:GO broadcasts.

It’s unknown whether Bubzkji player will continue searching for a new team this season.

Bubzkji initially rose to fame on Tricked Esports, winning the V4 Future Sports in 2019 and reaching the final of Dreamhack Open winter 2019. After the roster was bought by Mad Lions, they lifted the trophy of the inaugural Flashpoint Season.

In the summer of 2020, Bubzkji was signed by Danish rivals Astralis, where he was to become part of a six-man roster.

But this structure saw him play less and less, as the team struggled to implement him as a full-fledged part of the roster.

When Valve stepped in and all but banned six-man rosters, Bubzkji became a backup plan for the organization, only seeing playtime when Lukas “Gla1ve” Rossander took time off as he became a father.

Bubzkji, the analyst

Bubzkji will stay active within CS:GO for now, however, as he is becoming an on-screen analyst for TV2. This Danish television channel broadcasts most events held by BLAST and ESL, and already works with Jacob “Pimp” Winneche.

Jaxon reached out to both Astralis and Bubzkji, but was not able to get an official response.

Note:

In an announcement on 31.07.2022, Astralis confirmed this report, as they wished Bubzkji a farewell. He will start as an ‘expert commentator’ for TV2, but is keeping the door open for a return to competition.
